Procreate Dreams: Ultimate Guide (Course)

We’re delighted to launch our comprehensive course on animation in Procreate Dreams! This is your complete, one-stop-shop to learn everything that Dreams can do and get you up and running and animating in no time. By the end of the course you’ll feel ready bring your ideas to life backed up by the technical, creative - and real-world knowledge - you’ll pick up.

There are a lot of great tutorials out there on YouTube on how to do various, specific things in Dreams or follow-along tutorials … but where this course is different, is that it is comprehensive: it covers EVERYTHING you can do in Dreams, one step at a time, while also teaching you WHY do take certain approaches as well as HOW to make them happen. You’ll get an insight into the best workflows to use in different cases, as well as multiple ways to problem-solve and figure out how best to approach all of your animations - all in one place. Each chapter builds on what you’ve learned previously, so you’ll develop a much deeper knowledge because of how everything interconnects!

The course caters for every level - from newcomers just setting out on their animation journey, right through to experienced hands looking to harness the power of Dreams. You don’t even need to draw a single thing (if you don’t want to) for the whole course, as we provide all of the artwork you’ll need - already set up and ready to animate in Dreams. We even include two versions of the main projects - ‘start’ and ‘complete’ ones where you can recreate all the steps yourself or simply reference the finished animation.

There’s no filler content here whatsoever - all of the individual sections are focussed, bite-sized and easy to digest (or revisit!) - we get straight to the point in a clear, concise way.

The course has a gentle start showing you where - and what - everything is and how to get set up. We break down every part of Dreams, including the stage, timeline and timeline elements and how to easily navigate. We’ll show you how to work with all of your existing Procreate artwork within Dreams too.

From there, we start to get hands-on as we dive into one of the most important sections on the course (and in animation, in general): keyframing! We go in-depth on everything you can control and animate using keyframing in Dreams, one by one, explaining what everything does - including the amazing live filters.  We also cover the subject of easing and how it can really make your animations come to life.

Next up, we dive into several full, live projects, where you’ll start putting all your knowledge to use and combine different techniques you’ve learned in interesting ways. We talk you through every step in realtime, narrating both the technical and creative thought processes as work through them.

We take a quick look at Drawing in Dreams as well as how to create frame-by-frame animation before moving onto some useful thoughts and strategies for you on developing your own workflow, before finally wrapping up with some quickfire tips and tricks.

We’ve also included a few bonus items as well - there’s a sample brush pack taken from our collection of best-selling brush packs for Procreate; and also a PDF Guide which has stuff like a gestures cheatsheet and the 12 Principles of animation - really useful stuff to know!
